The sheer volume of containers Llimah have processed and exported during the last 30 years, provides us with vast experience and comprehensive knowledge over operational best practices and lead timeframes for maximising both the efficiency and service that we can offer to our clients.

We appreciate the costs associated with having to store, account for, and dispose of unwanted textile stock. At a time when environmental considerations and government pressures are at their highest, so too are those costs and therefore we aim to alleviate this financial and ergonomic burden by providing the best possible solution to meet your requirements. The flexibility of our transport infrastructure also allows us to structure collections to be as convenient as possible to accommodate your circumstances and preferences.

Llimah founded

The Llimah story began in England in 1977 when Managing Director Ron Hamill first established his modest shoe business in Leicestershire. By the start of 1984 two more shops had been added to the company and 3 years after that wholesale had become an integral part of the business.

Llimah start to export!

The export side of the business started in 1991 through the opening of the company's first warehouse, shipping solely to Germany. By 1997 this aspect of the business had grown to the point where containers were being shipped from the main warehouse throughout Europe and Africa.

Llimah Internation Ltd

In 1992 the business became Llimah International Ltd, as it is now known, and over the course of the years that followed, the focus of the business shifted towards addressing the environmental impact of textiles and providing logistical solutions to deal with this increasingly important issue.

A New Operations Director

In 2001 Mr Hamill managed to recruit Christine Furlong into the organisation as the company's Operations Director. Christine's background and vast experience within the footwear sector played a major role in the development of the company infrastructure and operating procedures, allowing Llimah to expand into the company it is today.

Since this time Llimah International Ltd has developed into the industry forerunner in export, remedial, storage and distribution solutions as well as and environmental awareness allowing us to serve our clients in the best possible way.

    We understand the cost and value of branding and therefore appreciate the importance of maintaining brand integrity. As such, we ensure that all textiles we process are shipped to approved countries outside of the European Union, usually in West Africa, and provide bills of landing to all clients as proof of shipment and for overall peace of mind.
